The media seems to report myths and legends, not true numbers and actual testimony from local Realtors who are in the game day in and day out.  Knowledge is everything and it's right here at your finger tips.   Many home buyers and investors waste hours and hours of their time trying to figure the market out using media and newspaper articles.  You need to know a few basic statistics to know whether you can negotiate deep discounts or whether you have to prepare for war!
